Savannah

Quick image from Savannah, Georgia. Weather is getting warm here, but that also means some long lovely evenings to enjoy with a camera!

I am testing a rented Fujifilm X-T1 this week, and one of the premier lenses in the Fujifilm lineup…the 56mm F1.2. Both are really incredible pieces of technology. My first thoughts on the equipment are that the Fujifilm processes information and works faster in every way. As a result the camera does not get in your way as you think and compose. Due to some button placement issues it is not as fast as a true DLSR, but it is quick to work once you create your own customized workflow.

The 56mm, is well really beyond description nice. I’ve shot lovely portraits, detailed photos of architecture, and lovely low light renditions of bright neon displays. Incredible!

OK! Yes if you want to join Fujifilm and had any doubts from a previous experiment with it…you can rest assured this one is the one that will on image quality and responsiveness will fit the bill for about 90-95% of all photographers needs.

Both photos processed in Nik for effect. I’ll have others later!

Change is a Coming!

Just Driving the Van!

Just Driving the Van!

Well change is coming to the blog…

I’ve been busting along at work recently.  Crisis after crisis for the last month.  So I’ve been down and out for the count on the blog.

However I have not been sitting idol in the world of photography and blogging!  I’ve been dreaming of ways to capture his glory a little bit more….

I’ll unveil the changes hopefully in the next week or so, but until then here is a shot from my guest photographer Mrs Wojtkun!  This was a Sunday drive home from church, with a van filled to the brim with children…our four and five from a friend’s family. It was wonderful meyhem.  They were so happy, and I was just enjoying their happiness.  Now if this was rush hour…different story entirely!  But for the pursposes of this pleasureable moment, it truly was a Sunday drive.
